first pair was too small, got confused on the sizing. Got next size up and they were like craters, too big. Guess my foot isn't set up to wear these as they were uncomfortablly large, had to work to keep them on, so they actually tired me instead of feeling good. I spend a good 9hrs a day on my feet and needed something that fit and was comfortable. They are sturdy, that's for sure. But just not what I needed for my foot. I was disappointed since I'd heard good things about them from others in my profession which is a chef.

I have used these shoes for work in the kitchen before and then tried several other brands none of which have stood up to the comfort and durability of the birki pro. The only issues I have ever had is that they take a few days to get used to because they have a loose fit which I believe is the only saving grace of the heat issue. They are made of poly substance which makes your feet sweat. Highly recommend!

The price was absolutely unbeatable and the customer service was amazing!!
Through no fault of the distributor PSNE/Birkenstockcentral.com, the shoes were not true to size but they happily took them back in exchange two seperate times at their own shipping expense until we found the perfect size (I wear an 11 and ended up with a 12.5). You never know what your going to get on the internet but I can assure you this is a fantastic company!

I recently purchased my second pair of these. My last pair lasted me over 4 years in culinary school and professional kitchens. I wont get anything else. After nearly 5 years of use the traction just started to wear down to the point were it became a slight issue, but the polyeurithane had split down the front on both after excessive use. These shoes are VERY wide. Do not get a smaller size tho-they will be too short. I at first schlopped around in them but then I bought a couple of two dollar sole liners and put them under the insole and they fit just fine and are comfortable. They are very slip resistant too which is great because my work area is wet and greasy. I love that they are dishwasher safe-tho I usually I just hose them off-so I can wear them at work and in my garden. They are not however a fashion statement by any means-looking down on them they look more like a wide slanted Birkenstock than a rounded clog-but that's the least of what I'm concerned about for a good work shoe.
